Many patients have simply worn out their natural teeth. As a result of this wear, patients can experience symptoms ranging from tooth sensitivity to headaches, muscle tension, and jaw and joint problems. Oftentimes, patients are simply concerned because their worn out smile makes them look older.
Dr. Mawyer has had extensive experience and advanced education for treating these complex cases.
In his full-mouth cases and other select cases, he uses computerized programs such as Joint Vibration Analysis (JVA) and TEK-Scan to better evaluate the health of the jaw joints (TMJ) and the evenness of the bite. These are state-of-the-art computerized programs that enhance the outcome of more advanced cases.
Dr. Mawyer's knowledge of the synergy between appearance and function is paramount to a great outcome. He has been mentoring dentists across the country on how to successfully treat complex full-mouth restorations since 1998, first with the Pacific Aesthetic Continuum, PAC-Live, and from 2003-2008 with The Hornbrook Group. Time spent teaching at these seminars allowed Dr. Mawyer to be on the cutting edge of the most advanced dental techniques and products.
